AIB SUPPORTS INSTITUTIONAL SPORTS

Africa international Bank (AIB ) has re-affirmed its intention to lift the standard of institutional sports in the country with their resources.

AIB, one of the sponsors of the on-going 18th NUGA games at Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU), Zaria, supported the Zaria games with N1Million.

Speaking on behalf of the AIB managing Director, Alhaji Ibrahim Kofa, the Bank Head of Corporate Affairs, Rasaq Bello Osagie, expressed his company’s desire to see Institutional sports grow to internation standards.

Osagie said it was part of AIB"s commitment to fulfill its social responsibility to the higher institutions in the country.

He described sports in higher institutions as a vehicle for national development, socially, and politically.

AIB has been involved in sports for over ten years and their contributions had yielded fruits so far, according to Bello Osagie.

"we have been sponsoring Tennis at Ikoyi Club 1938 for a long time and pop in Kaduna. We also sponsored AIB cup every year", he said.

AIB has also chosen to identify with a seminar organized by NUGA on, the challenges ahead of an institutionalized organization."

The seminar is billed to hold tomorrow at the faculty of vetinary medicine lecture theatre inside ABU Samaru Campus in Zaria
